Welcome to the Skyrim Creation Kit School

In SCKS we will be covering aspects of using Skyrim Creation Kit. SCKS will be conducted on a live stream with a limited class size.

 Classes will be held on Saturday Evenings at 7 PM Eastern Time. Look up the time conversions for your Time Zone

Class Requirements

Discord - for voice chat with "Professor Houlden". Only those who sign up for the class will be allowed in the voice chat. Discord can downloaded HERE

The Skyrim Game - both Legendary Edition and Special Edition. Special Edition is not required but is extremely helpful as most of the class will conducted using the SE Creation Kit. Much of what will be covered can also be done in the Legendary edition CK as well.
It is a hard requirement that the Master Files of both games be cleaned with SSEdit or TES5Edit. for learning how to clean Master Files watch this video
In both games the mod Alternate Start Live Another Life by Arthmoor WILL BE required for making NPC followers and Test Characters. Both version links follow below
Alternate Start Legendary Version
Alternate Start Skyrim Special Edition

Creation Kit - CK for Legendary Edition is available on Steam and CK 2 64 is obtained through Behtesda.net (required to have a Beth net account) Programs will be required to have Multiple Master Files enabled. Scripts.rar will have to be opened so that Scripts will compile correctly

Nifskope- Attendees will be required to have either Nifskope Pre alpha 5 or Pre alpha 6, preferably both if working in the SSE CK. Both version can be downloaded for free on this page HERE

BAE- The Bethesda Archive Extractor. this can be downloaded HERE

SSE Nif Optimizer - only required for those working in SSE CK. This program can be obtained HERE

SSEdit and/or TES5Edit- this is required for cleaning the mod and for merging plugins. An older version of the Merged Plugins Script v 1.9 is available HERE which still works properly without any problems
TES5Edit

Students should have their Master Files cleaned properly prior to beginning classes! To learn how to do this use the following video tutorial by Gopher. The process is the same for Legendary Edition and Special Edition (just remember that you DO NOT clean Skyrim.esm)



Photoshop - preferably CS 6 aas that will be the program used for editing textures. The Nvidia Plugin is required. For those who do not have Photoshop a cracked version of the program is available HERE (remember to follow the README file included with the download)

Notepad++ - this will be used for Scripting. Can be downloaded for free from HERE

Bitser and/or WinRar - used for packing and unpacking mod files. Bitser can be obtained for Free from HERE

Class size is initially limited to 8 as of this time. Depending on interest, further classes may be developed. All classes will live streamed to both Twitch and Youtube and the archived replays of the classes will be stored on the T.A.P. Gaming Youtube Channel
Remember you do not have to be part of the class to follow along however you should be aware that questions posed on material will not be answered by TAP Gaming in live stream chat on either Youtube or Twitch. Also please be aware that both live stream chats have to simple rules which are aggressively enforced by Chat moderators. Those rules are:
  1. BE NICE there is no middle ground here. Be nice or be gone.
  2. Use English please. If you do not know how to speak/type/read/understand English then its probably a good bet that you are on the wrong stream

Do you have the Floating Grass bug in interior cells in your game or in your mods? I did. but I figured out how to fix it. It requires some ini tweaks. 1. open your Skyrim.ini in my documents>my games>Skyrim 2. Scroll down until you find the section [Grass] 3. Make sure your file says this (if it doesn't copy and paste this into it) [Grass] bAllowCreateGrass=1 bAllowLoadGrass=0 4. Save and exit that ini file. Next open your SkyrimPrefs.ini 5. Skyrim SE: Mighty Nine's Photo Studio Player Home

This mod is for Skyrim Special Edition ONLY You seriously should watch the video.  The Photo Studio is easy to find its right outside whiterun and it REALLY stands out. The home contains room for two followers (no children)  It has full crafting with a Smelter and wood chopping block outside. With the Photo Studio your Crafting and Food supplies will never run out either. There is a chest by the Armorer's Workbench which contains a set amount of supplies. Next to the Enchanter's Table there is a chest containing a large number of Soul Gems for your Enchanting Needs. These chests are NOT safe storage however. Do NOT store anything you want to keep in them. There is a reason for this. There is a script on the chests, the two food barrels near the hearth and the "junk barrel" near the door which causes the contents of the containers to refresh every 20 game hours. About : Watch the video thats why it's here This mod is an armored version of Nausicaa's CBBE lingerie mod which was a port to Skyrim from the original mod by the author R18PN. I absolutely loved this outfit, and I used it quite often in my Skyrim Live Stream Series "50 Shades of Sexy" The only problem I had was that it wasn't armor. As we all know sexy and skimpy is great to look at but when a Dragon is intent on having a Dragonborn Sammich, sexy and skimpy can lead to one dead Dragonborn. So I sat down one night after my Live Stream was over and made an armored version of the original mod. Just for fun, I re-colored it a few times for variety. I use and have tested this mod on my Live Stream. The only piece that is unable to be enchanted is the garter belt (and I am not quite sure why, I think its has something to do with the armor slot used) I HIGHLY recommend that you use JohnSkyrim's Armored Circlets with this mod to provide head protec
